Focus for the Future Generation (2FG) is a non-governmental organization registered under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act No. 24 of 2002, as amended from time to time. It was issued a registration certificate with registration number 00NGO/R/0256 on 26th July 2019. With a mandate to operate nationally, 2FG is headquartered in Kigamboni District Council, Dar es Salaam Region, Tanzania.
2FG is a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization dedicated to addressing social, economic, and health challenges faced by youth and children, such as violence against children and youth, HIV/AIDS, SRHR, malaria, and poverty. Additionally, 2FG provides technical assistance to other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and networks in Tanzania.
Members of 2FG have observed that Tanzanian children and youth encounter numerous critical challenges, including high unemployment rates, SRHR issues, HIV/AIDS infections, declining standards of education and healthcare services, poor living conditions, persistent violence against children, gender-based violence, and the exclusion of people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups in the community.

The organization maintains affiliations with various constituents to enhance the effectiveness of its interventions. These include partnerships with government agencies at local, regional, and national levels, other NGOs operating in related fields, international organizations, academic institutions, and community-based organizations. By collaborating with these stakeholders, Focus for the Future Generation (2FG) expands its reach and impact in addressing social, economic, and health challenges faced by youth and children in Tanzania. These partnerships enable the organization to leverage diverse expertise, resources, and networks, ensuring comprehensive and sustainable solutions to the identified issues.
Moreover, these affiliations facilitate strategic advocacy efforts and policy dialogue with government bodies, influencing systemic changes that benefit the target beneficiaries. Academic institutions contribute through research collaborations and knowledge exchange, while community-based organizations play a vital role in grassroots implementation and fostering community engagement. By fostering strong relationships with these constituents, 2FG strengthens its capacity to advocate for and implement programs that promote holistic development and improve the well-being of children, youth, and disadvantaged groups across Tanzania.
